What we Loved

Casa del Mar's waterfront location puts you in the heart of Bocas Town, with restaurants, cafés, shops, and water taxis all within walking distance. It felt like the perfect base for exploring the islands while still enjoying ocean views from the property. We also highly recommend hiring a private boat tour, which gives you the flexibility to explore the surrounding islands on your own schedule. Starfish Beach on Isla Colón and the stunning Zapatilla Islands were two of our favourite spots during our time in Bocas del Toro. When it came to food, we found ourselves returning to Buena Vista for dinner and Café del Mar for breakfast.

Things to Know

Casa del Mar is located in the heart of Bocas Town, so expect a more lively atmosphere than you would find at a remote beach resort. We found it to be a convenient base for island hopping, with water taxis available throughout town and private boat tours departing directly from the property's dock.

We flew from Panama City with Air Panama. Our round-trip flights were approximately $300 USD per person, although our fare included additional baggage for filming equipment.
