What We Loved

We loved how remote Hacienda del Mar felt while still being easily accessible from Panama City. The wildlife was one of the highlights of our stay, with toucans visiting the breakfast area and opportunities to hand-feed macaws. We also found the on-site restaurant to be consistently good throughout our visit.

Things to Know

We flew to Hacienda del Mar on a 25 minute flight from Panama City with Air Panama. It is the only resort on the island, so most guests spend the majority of their time on the property. We encountered a lot of no-see-ums, particularly around sunrise and sunset, so we recommend bringing lightweight long pants and long-sleeve shirts.
