What We Loved

We enjoyed experiencing a quieter side of Panama at Villa El Encanto. Isla Saboga has a small fishing village, very little development, and a slower pace than many of the country's more popular island destinations. The island felt authentic and largely untouched, making it a good choice for travellers looking to disconnect and experience local island life.

Things to Know

Grocery options on Isla Saboga are limited, so it's a good idea to plan ahead if you intend to cook during your stay. We travelled to the Pearl Islands on the Sea Las Perlas ferry from Panama City. The crossing takes approximately 90 minutes and tickets were about $110 USD per person round trip at the time of our visit.
